Happy July!! Today I was able to spend several hours with my oldest - dearest - bestest friend Lisa! We met in 2nd grade and have been BFF's ever since. I have only seen her a few times since finding out I was pregnant - the last time I saw her was in April and trust me - I look very different than I did in April. It was nice to spend time with her and catch up - a lot has happened within the past year in both of our lives - and it's nice to have that one person you can be totally honest with and just open up - it's like mini therapy! We were planning a day by the pool - but the weather was not that great so we ate lunch at Blue Water Grill and came back here - we were able to put our feet in the pool for an hour or so - but then decided to take a drive.
Anyway - Lisa is very talented and she makes quilts! The good kind - the kind that you had as a child. She gave me a handmade quilt today for Zippy....and get this - she has been working on it since I told her I was pregnant (she was the 2nd person I told - uncle Eric was #1) and she just finished it last night. It's so beautiful and I am so grateful to have a friend like Lisa who would take 7 months to make me a baby gift. We can't wait for Zippy to play on it or cuddle with it in the car during the oh so very chilly Michigan months.
Overall the weekend was good - Jose and I ate at my favorite place last night - San Chez! YUMMY!!! Afterwards we treated ourselves to icecream from Jersey Junction - YUMMY!!! Unlce Eric comes home tomorrow for the 4th - can't wait!!
