I loved you from the very start…you stole my breath, embraced my heart.

Our life together has just begun, you’re part of me, my little one.

I’m daydreaming of the things we’ll share, like late-night bottles and teddy bears.

Like first steps and skinned knees, like bedtime stories and ABC’s.

I’m thinking of things you’ll want to know, like how birds fly and flowers grow.

I’ve thought of lessons I’ll need to share, like standing tall and playing fair.

When I first saw your precious face, I prayed your life be touched with grace.

I’ll thanked the angels from above, and promised you unending love.

Each night I’ll lay you down to sleep, I’ll gently kiss your head and cheek.

I’ll count your little fingers and toes, I’ll memorize your eyes and nose.

I will linger at your nursery door, awed each day that I love you more.

Through misty eyes, I’ll dim the light, and whisper, “I love you” every night.

As mother with new child our journey’s begun, my heart’s yours forever, little one.

I loved you from the very start…you stole my breath, embraced my heart.

Welcome Olivia Claire!
She is here ... a few weeks early! She hates being late and is always early...just like her mommy! Born on August 26, 2006 at 12:04pm. 6lbs 13ounces and 20 inches long. She is perfect, healthy, and we feel so overwhelmed with love for this new person! I'll write more later - I am SO tired as we just got home from the hospital today!

Another Pregnancy Picture....
Are you getting sick of looking at my belly?? Oh - the small hole above my belly button is where I once had a belly ring - years and years ago!
Well - less than three weeks to go and I am getting SO excited! I had a Doctor's appointment this past Friday and all is well..I was "checked" to see if I was dilated and effaced - which FYI is NOT pleasant at ALL! The good news is - I am dilated to a 2 and I am 70% effaced - which I was really surprised by. Things are progressing as they should - yeah! I had some cramps or I guess I could start calling them contractions on Saturday night - which was very exciting and I also had a few yesterday. Other than that - no action. My doctor gave me the "note" - when to call her when I go into labor - what I should be looking for - how far contractions should be apart from one another - all that fun stuff. I guess it could really be any day. Am I ready? With the material things - yes I am ready...mentally is a different story. I could use another few months to wrap my head around the HUGE change that is about ready to take place in the Ontiveros house. Jose and I have decided on names - we have several choices for each sex - so we'll have to see what the baby looks like first. We are not sharing names - not even our parents know. It's much better this way...everyone has an opinion on baby names and we prefer not to hear everyone's opinions!
Tomorrow Erica and I are going to hit the mall for any last minute needs that I may have. Cute PJ's and slippers for the hospital - you know REALLY important stuff! I am looking forward to it - and tonight I am going to finally pack my bags. You never know!!

My Best Boys....
Bryan and Riley are my "best boys." They do not always act like best boys - but I love them to death. I love when I get home from work and they are so happy to see me. Riley will climb up on my lap and give me a gross dog kiss right in my ear, but I love it. When Jose gets home from work - they both go NUTS! They love their daddy. At night Bryan sleeps on the floor right next to Jose's side of the bed and Riley will lay above Jose's head on the pillow. I love waking up in the middle of the night and seeing ALL of my boys sleeping soundly! FYI - this is another one of my pregnancy pictures...I had to have one featuring the Best Boys!

25 Days to go....
Yeah..I'm almost there! Thankfully!! The picture above is of me and Denice Barker - Lisa's mom at my baby shower. Denice was literally like a 2nd mother to me while I was growing up. Lisa and I spent A LOT of time together. Denice is an awesome person and I love talking with her. This is a quilt that she made for Zippy - if you click on the picture you can see the quilt a bit better. I love it and I am sure Zippy will too!
So, 25 days left - I am SO ready. Last week was a bit rough - many days of morning sickness. I went to the Doctor last Friday and while I didn't see my regular OB - I saw another Doctor who I have seen a few times and he said that some women just get morning sickness in the last few weeks of pregnancy - lucky us! He said to take it easy - listen to my body, relax, and STAY OUT OF THE HEAT. Now - you all know me and relaxing is not always that easy..well it is after the vacuuming is done, laundry is folded, and my "last" organizational project is complete. I can't help myself. He did tell me that if I ended up in the hospital for dehydration and had to leave the hospital this close to the due date without a baby - I would be really upset. So, I am going to take his advice and take it easy - pamper myself and not stress about the small stuff these last few weeks.
When I got home from work today - I had a package waiting for me from Babies R Us, it was my diaper genie from my Aunt Chris who could not make it to the shower - I was SO excited! Can you imagine getting that excited about a diaper genie? Between that and my changing pad and covers you would think that I had just won an all expenses paid trip to Hawaii! I guess becoming a mom really does change you!
Thanks to Colin and Sharon for inviting us to their Pig Roast party over the weekend. We had a great time - it was nice to get out and socialize with our friends!! We'll look forward to next year!

My Baby Shower....
was awesome!! I can't thank my family enough for throwing me such a great party! Thanks to Sara, Sue G, Sue Z, Laurie and Mary Ann ..and of course my mom. It was a great day - sunny and I'm just sad that it's over. It's like our wedding - you look forward to it for months and before you know it - it's over. It goes by so fast. Well...thanks to everyone who came..it meant a lot to have you all there! And...Zippy got the COOLEST stuff ever!! From the swing, to the stroller, car seat...fun baby outfits..bottles..sheets...books...handmade blankets (thanks Anne) and handmade quilts (thanks Lisa and Denice!) It was awesome! Now we are ready for the baby..officially! We have the crib sheets all washed - the changing pad on the dresser...the dresser stocked with sleepers, onesies, diapers, wipes, creams, lotions..and on and on. I am SO excited now...can't wait for this little one to make his/her grand entrance.
I had a Doctor's appointment on Friday - everything is looking good. In fact, I even lost a pound! Good news...I asked my Doc if it was normal that I have only gained about 3 pounds in the past 10 weeks and she said that it's totally fine and some women just gain most of their weight in the beginning and hardly any at the end. I had another stress test and it was funny because the baby was moving SO much it was hard for nurse Jan to get a good reading of the heartbeat...she said she has not seen a kid that active in a long time...she thinks that I am having a boy...hahaha Erica! Told You! Nurse Jan said boys are usually pretty active and considering this child moves around ALL of the time - I am with her and thinking boy too. Anyway - all is good with the baby and now all we will do is wait for the big day to get here!! YEAH!!!
FYI - I think that I am having a "problem" - I keep buying baby clothes online! I can't stop...I've gotten some adorable outfits for Zippy - gender neutral - very cute! Can't wait to start playing dress up!
I don't have any photos of the shower - yet because Jose took the digital camera to the Buick Open (Go Tiger!!) - and of course once he got there - no camera's allowed...so I am waiting for some of my friends to e-mail me some photos...once I have them I'll be sure to post some!
Have a great night!!

Jose Meets Tiger.......

Finally....the day Jose has been waiting for - he and Greg met Tiger Woods!! I am so excited for him - I feel like I met him!! You see a few months ago I bought Jose a package at a Make-A-Wish event at the silent auction. The package included 4 passes to the Buick Open, a golf bag signed by Tiger and two meet and greet passes to meet Tiger. I bought this for Jose for his "first" father's day. I wanted to get him something really special because he has been SO great to me during this pregnancy - even going out one day and buying me maternity clothes when I was too sick to do it for myself! Usually the husbands get the wives something very special after the birth of the first baby - but trust me he deserved something really special. I'm sure living with me for the past 8 months has been no piece of cake.
So, tonight was the night of the meet and greet. Jose and Greg took off this afternoon and got to the Clubhouse and I'm sure anxiously awaiting meeting Tiger. They said that he was very nice and seemed to be enjoying himself. It was a great experience....and no Tiger's wife was not there!
I couldn't go with Jose tonight because I had my 2nd birthing class - plus that drive would hurt my back. So, my mom was my coach for the evening, which was fun...however there was an air-conditioning problem in the room and it was like
100 degrees in there and all the pregnant women were dropping like flies~They promised us that the air should be okay for our last class tomorrow night. Thank goodness, since tomorrow is another ozone action day.
Speaking of bad back....I obviously did something to my back over the weekend at WAM, it could have been standing or sitting for too long - but man does it just KILL today. I had a hard time sleeping last night and at work today, I just wanted to die. So...I decided to treat myself to a pregnancy massage! It was HEAVEN...I should have done this all along. I am going to have another one in two weeks! If you are pregnant - get a pregnancy massage! Trust Me! You can't buy cute clothes anymore - but you can get massaged!! That's my advice for the day!
