Just Don't Ask.....
Over the weekend while sitting in the pool the "women" were discussing pregnancy and I was telling them that I had just read an article about what to do if you ask someone who IS NOT pregnant - when they are due. Can you image the utter horror you would feel not to mention the embarrassment? If you ever find yourself in such a situation - simply say to the woman who you have totally and completely destroyed - oh - I'm so sorry, you just have that glow about you! Now - experts say to never-ever ask a woman when she is due to avoid such a horrid situation but sometimes your mouth is faster than your brain. Anyway - my mom called me today to tell me that she has asked a sales associate at Macy's when she was due and the lady said - I am not pregnant. Kill me now! However I guess she was very gracious and told my mom that when she wore the specific shirt that she had on - people frequently ask her when she is due! I would knock someone out if it were me - but whatever! Now - I am clearly having a baby so if would be acceptable to ask me when I am due - but if it is at all questionable - just keep a lid on it!

On Friday on the way back from Ann Arbor - Erica and I had to make a quick stop and a lady asked me when I was due and I told her and she said ..and I quote "My daughter is due September 6th and you are SO much bigger than she is." I wanted to smack the you know what out of her. Not what I want to here. I want to be as small as her daughter - not made to feel like a whale! So - those types of comments are no-no's too! I addressed this when I was pregnant with Olivia - just because a woman is pregnant does not give anyone the right to freely talk about her body. It is simply not allowed!

A Day at the Zoo!

Today we took Olivia to the zoo for the 1st time and we had a really good time. She really loved the animals - she would smile and squeal when she saw them all. We spent about three hours walking around - taking in all the exhibits. It was a beautiful day here and we made the most of it.
Hope you had a good weekend too!

Happy 4th of July!
Yes...I realize that I am a bit behind in blogging but boy have I been busy! Work - pregnancy - more work - on and on! This picture was taken on the 4th - doesn't Olivia look patriotic?
She is growing like a weed and changing everyday and I mean everyday! Over the weekend she went from literally not being mobile to moving and exploring and going from one position to the next! As you can imagine putting her to bed has become a challenge because she can go from laying to sitting...oh boy! And Sunday night she began crawling! It's so awesome that she can do these things now...when you have a newborn you can't imagine them ever being strong enough to sit up and crawl so it is a tiny miracle when they learn to do it on their own!

New Baby!!
This is from our last ultrasound - taken this past Tuesday. As you can see (or maybe not see) this is the front view of the baby's face. I think the new baby looks like Olivia and Jose thinks that I am NUTS! New baby is weighing in at 3lbs. 13 ounces and very healthy. The best news of all is that my placenta has moved and is out of the way so now I am "back to normal." My Doctor said that it had been years since she has seen a placenta that low move - a little miracle! I can't even tell you how happy I am to be able to resume normal activity - walks, shopping, running errands, and going out of town! Jose and I are heading to Grand Haven this weekend and to the zoo....I can hardly wait! And...I do not have to have a scheduled c-section!! I loved giving birth so I was a bit bummed about the whole c-section thing but now I can give birth once again! YEAH!!!
Everything else is going well around here. I just had another event at work wrap up this week!! Oh - Erica started with me at MAW and I honestly could not be happier or more excited about it! I promised her she would get her own blog entry so I will save all the nice things I have to say about her until that post.
Have a great night -
