Just Don't Ask.....
Over the weekend while sitting in the pool the "women" were discussing pregnancy and I was telling them that I had just read an article about what to do if you ask someone who IS NOT pregnant - when they are due. Can you image the utter horror you would feel not to mention the embarrassment? If you ever find yourself in such a situation - simply say to the woman who you have totally and completely destroyed - oh - I'm so sorry, you just have that glow about you! Now - experts say to never-ever ask a woman when she is due to avoid such a horrid situation but sometimes your mouth is faster than your brain. Anyway - my mom called me today to tell me that she has asked a sales associate at Macy's when she was due and the lady said - I am not pregnant. Kill me now! However I guess she was very gracious and told my mom that when she wore the specific shirt that she had on - people frequently ask her when she is due! I would knock someone out if it were me - but whatever! Now - I am clearly having a baby so if would be acceptable to ask me when I am due - but if it is at all questionable - just keep a lid on it!

On Friday on the way back from Ann Arbor - Erica and I had to make a quick stop and a lady asked me when I was due and I told her and she said ..and I quote "My daughter is due September 6th and you are SO much bigger than she is." I wanted to smack the you know what out of her. Not what I want to here. I want to be as small as her daughter - not made to feel like a whale! So - those types of comments are no-no's too! I addressed this when I was pregnant with Olivia - just because a woman is pregnant does not give anyone the right to freely talk about her body. It is simply not allowed!

I totally agree, if you don't know for sure if someone is pregnant just don't ask and definently don't tell a woman that she looks huge, that is just down right rude. It amazes me the things people think they have the right to say. Hope your pregnancy is going well, it will all be over soon and Olivia will have a new little brother or sister, i can't wait.

In Nana's defense however, some of those styles make women totally look pregnant that are not. Unfortunately, I have on of those tops---and it is soooo comfy...so, I don't care. I asked my husband when I wore it last if I looked pregnant and he said no. If anyone else would ask me...heck, at my age, I don't even care! I'd probably just laugh and say.."no, it's just hiding my muffin tops."

Oh, and, Cara, I saw you about a month ago and you look beautiful!
